Grant Howard
(President Accolade Capital)

Since 1988, Grant has served as President of The Howard Group (HG) Inc., Western Canada's oldest investor and financial relations firm. With a strict focus on only representing companies in which HG wishes to invest, Grant has also directed the raising of more than $50 million for clients.

He is also President and owner of Accolade Capital, General Partner for the Insight Limited Partnership, which was launched in late 2003 and Insight LP II, which was formed in early 2008. The Insight Limited Partnerships invest in micro and small cap opportunities and are governed by an independent Board of Advisors, which is made up of successful entrepreneurs.

Grant is a member of the Bachelor of Applied Business and Entrepreneurship Advisory Committee to the Bisset School of Business at Mount Royal University. He previously served as a director on the Calgary Angel Network Committee.

He served as a director of Solana Resources for 12 years until November 2008 when it merged with another international energy company creating an entity with a billion dollar market capitalization and in excess of 11 thousand barrels of oil production per day. He is a former director of Southward Energy Ltd. and ATC Petroleum Services.

Prior to forming The Howard Group, he enjoyed a multifaceted ten-year career as a television and radio journalist and seven years as a crisis communications and media advisor with his clients including the Calgary City Police and the XV Winter Olympics Organizing Committee.
